1. Ramblin’ Raft Race

    May 21, 1977-The Ramblin’ Raft Race was an annual Memorial Day weekend race on the Chattahoochee River that took place from 1969 to 1980.  The event drew national attention when the Guinness Book of World Records called it the world’s largest spectator sporting event and Dan Rather reported on it.
